MANILA, Philippines — Domestic workers in the National Capital Region will receive a wage increase.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board said yesterday the RTWPB is set to hold a public hearing on wage adjustment for kasambahay.
The public hearing will be held at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay on Nov. 25.
The RTWPB invited stakeholders to join the public hearing, saying their inputs are considered valuable in drafting a new wage order.
Stakeholders are also encouraged to submit before the RTWPB their position papers.
In January, the RTWPB approved a wage increase of P500, bringing to P6,500 the monthly pay of domestic workers in Metro Manila.
The wage boards in other regions have ordered salary adjustments for domestic helpers.eu9
